    15-year Anniversary of the Information Bureau of Nordic Council of Ministers in St.Petersburg

    On October 5, 2010, a gala event devoted to the 15-year anniversary of the Information Bureau of Nordic Council of Ministers in St.Petersburg took place at the Consulate General of Finland in St.Petersburg.

    On October 5, 2010, a gala event devoted to the 15-year anniversary of the Information Bureau of Nordic Council of Ministers in St.Petersburg took place at the Consulate General of Finland in St.Petersburg.

    Among those invited were the representatives of the Consulates General of Nordic countries in St.Petersburg, public organizations, as well as the executive authorities of St.Petersburg.

    At the events opening, the welcome speeches were given by Mikka Boedeker, Director of Information Office of Nordic Council of Ministers in St.Petersburg, Olli Perheentupa, Consul General of Finland in St.Petersburg, E.V. Lukyanov, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of President of Russian Federation in the North-Western Federal District, and I.O. Lonskiy, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations.

    As part of the events, a series of lectures about the Nordic countries was open, under the title Studia Nordica. The first lecture was devoted to the project of creating a joint Nordic television channel. The lecture caused a lively discussion.

    At the end of festivities, an official reception was given at the residence of the Consul General of Finland in St.Petersburg.

    The events were organized by Information Bureau of Nordic Council of Ministers in St.Petersburg and the Consulate General of Finland.
