    Days of Stockholm-Melaren in St.Petersburg

    On October 27 through 30, 2009, the Days of Stockholm-Mälaren were held in St.Petersburg, organized pursuant to the Agreement on Cooperation between St.Petersburg and Stockholm-Mälaren region of February 2, 2006.

    On October 27 through 30, 2009, the Days of Stockholm-Mälaren were held in St.Petersburg, organized pursuant to the Agreement on Cooperation between St.Petersburg and Stockholm-Mälaren region of February 2, 2006.

    The main themes of the Days were the issues of cooperation in the area of power savings, innovations, and public health.

    Within the framework of the Days, M.E. Oseevskiy, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, met with Per Unckel, Governor of Stockholm Region, to discuss the development of relations between St.Petersburg and Stockholm-Mälaren Region.

    A success was a seminar on public health care run in Smolny, prepared with the assistance of the Committee for Public Health and the Council of the Stockholm Region, as well as a round table on research and innovation, with the assistance and participation of the Committee on Science and Higher Education, the Committee for Economic Development, Industrial Policy and Trade; a round table on power-saving efficiency of residential buildings in St.Petersburg, attended by the representatives of the Housing Committee, Construction Committee, and the Committee on power Industry and Engineering. The events were attended by over 80 organizations and companies of St.Petersburg.

    Durung the Days, the bilateral meetings were also held on the development of relations concerning the environment protection, support for the development of small- and medium-scale enterprises, and the development of urban infrastructure.

    The delegation of Stockholm Region visited the SUE “Vodokanal St.Petersburg” and studied the activities of this organization.
