    Week of Korean Culture in St.Petersburg

    On October 14 through 18, 2009, the Week of Korean Culture was run in St.Petersburg, organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea within the confines of the III Festival "Flavour of Korea"

    On October 14 through 18, 2009, the Week of Korean Culture was run in St.Petersburg, organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea within the confines of the III Festival "Flavour of Korea", which included the following events:

    • Photo exhibition on "Korea Witnessed by the Russian and Russia Witnessed by Koreans". Organizers: Mikhail Shemyakin Foundation, the Korean Youth Cultural and Educational Center, and the Society of Russo-Korean Friendship.
    • Lecture-seminar on Korean studies. Organizers: Korean Youth Cultural and Educational Center, the Society of Russo-Korean Friendship.
    • Exhibition of products of the Korean paper art Hanji. Organizers: National Library, the Society of Russo-Korean Friendship, and Korean Youth Cultural and Educational Center.
    • Lecture on the history of Korea. Organizers: National Library, the Society of Russo-Korean Friendship, and Korean Youth Cultural and Educational Center.
    • Lectures and master-classes on Hanji. Organizers: National Library, the Society of Russo-Korean Friendship, and Korean Youth Cultural and Educational Center.
    • Lecture on traditional Korean dance and folk art. Organizers: National Library, the Society of Russo-Korean Friendship, and Korean Youth Cultural and Educational Center.
    • Lectures on Korean literature and Korean literature. Organizers: Society of Russo-Korean Friendship, Korean Youth Cultural and Educational Center.
    • Musical performance "A Destiny", timed to the Day of the peoples persecuted for political reasons. Organizers: Uchebny (Training) Theatre in Mokhovaya Street at the St.Petersburg Academy of Theatrical Arts, Society of Russo-Korean Friendship, and Korean Youth Cultural and Educational Center.
