On September 29 through October 2, 2009, the delegation of the Ministry of Economy of Bavaria visited St.Petersburg.
The delegation included Hans Schleicher, head of the staff of Ministry of Economy of Bavaria, Josef Nassauer, CEO of the company "Bayern Innovative" and the cluster of Bavarian car components manufacturers, and employees of the Ministry and the organization "Invest in Bavaria".
On October 1, the delegation was received by A.V. Prokhorenko, Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations. During the meeting in Smolny, discussed were the prospects of cooperation with Bavaria as regards the production of car components, medical equipment, and environment-protecting technologies.
The delegation also met with the administration of SUE "Vodokanal St.Petersburg" and of the territorial directorate of Federal Agency for Management of SEZ over St.Petersburg.
The representatives of Bavaria took an active part in the II Petersburg International Innovation Forum. Witin the framework of the forum, a stand of the Ministry of Economy of Bavaria was displayed at the exhibition, that gave a notion about the methods of state support for innovations in this most industrialized region of Germany. In the presentation area of the forum, a presentation was arranged on the Bavarian experience to support innovations. Hans Schleicher gave a report on the prospects of cooperation of Bavaria and St.Petersburg in the field of innovation at the conference "Innovative Economy. Look of the Business Community. "
