    Exhibition "INDIA SHOW 2009"

    September 30 through October 3, 2009, the exhibition «INDIA SHOW 2009» was held, as an event of the Year of India in Russia (LenExpo, Pavilions 5 and 5a). The exhibition was arranged by the India Trade Promotion Organization - ITPO, the principal trade organization at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, with the assistance of the Embassy of India in Russia, the Consulate General of India in St.Petersburg, and the Committee for External Relations of St.Petersburg.

The exhibition was arranged by the India Trade Promotion Organization - ITPO, the principal trade organization at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, with the assistance of the Embassy of India in Russia, the Consulate General of India in St.Petersburg, and the Committee for External Relations of St.Petersburg.

    INDIA SHOW 2009 was a great business event of India in Russia, that provided a unique opportunity for manufacturers, exporters, importers, suppliers, and buyers from both countries to establish business contacts, keep negotiations, and search for trading partners. The exhibition presented a wide range of quality products and a variety of technological achievements of modern India for Russia's growing market.

    The exhibition was especially important, as it was held during the Year of India in Russia - the largest event organized by the Government of India to bring together the two great powers in the context of global economic changes. Over 150 leading Indian companies of the public and private sector participated in the exhibition, occupying 3500 sq.m. showroom area. Among the major sections of the exhibition were the chemical industry and related products, engineering, information technology, electronics, software, space exploration technologies, industrial products, interior appointments, textiles, clothing and garments, handicraft items and souvenirs, agriculture and grocery products, tobacco, tea, coffee, cashew, spices.
