Within the framework of Program "Tolerance", on September 21 through November 15, 2009, the seminar will be held at the Academy of Post-Graduate Teacher Education concerning "Ethnocalendar in the Educational Dimension of Pre-School Educational Institutions".
The program of the seminar includes the training of kindergarten employees to master the methods and techniques of using the sets of information and reference materials "Ethnocalendarof St. Petersburg" in the educational process, in order to familiarize the children with the culture, traditions, and customs of different nationalities residing in the city. The ultimate purpose is the formation of tolerant conscience of children and their parents.
It is expected that the seminar will be attended by more than a thousand educators from the pre-school educational institutions of St.Petersburg.
