At the meeting, the issues of developing the cooperation of St.Petersburg and Germany in the area of economics were discussed. One of the promising areas of cooperation may be the innovative projects. This is proven by the involvement of several German regions in the upcoming 2nd St.Petersburg International Innovation Forum.

Max von Hahn has mentioned that the Consulate General of Federal Republic of Germany is ready to support such projects and would encourage participation in the Forum and possible innovative initiatives of interested companies from different federal lands of Germany.

Participants to the meeting also noted the important role of opening the new schoolyear at the German school, where the children of German businesspeople and diplomats who are in St.Petersburg for a long time will be taught by the German educational curricula.
