    St.Petersburg Was Visited by a Delegation of Federal Land of Bremen

    The delegation of representatives of committee on economics and ports of Federal Land of Bremen (Germany) in St. Petersburg on May 4 through 10, 2009. The delegation was led by Ralf Nagel, Senator on Economy and Ports of Federal Land of Bremen.

    The delegation included the deputies of the Bremen’s Buergerschaft, administration of Eurogate Concern, and representatives of the companies that implement the project on creating a new port “JadeWeserPort”.

    The delegation met with A.S. Bakirey, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Transport-Transit Policy of St.Petersburg, and visited the sea port of St.Petersburg and the port of Ust-Luga in Leningrad Region.

    Along with the cooperation in the area of port activity, administration of Bremen is interested in developing the joint programs in the area of high technologies, and particularly in the aerospace exploration. On the territory of the Federal Land of Bremen, there are a number of key productions of the Airbus Concern situated, as well as leading European research laboratories offering the solutions for space missions.

    While in St.Petersburg, the delegation of Bremen visited St.Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, where a meeting with the administration of this educational institution took place.
