St.Petersburg hosted a conference «Turkmenistan in the New Era of Renaissance» on May 18, 2009.
The delegation of 200 people, who arrived in St. Petersburg, took part in the ceremony of laying wreaths on the memorial gravestone «Turkmens Who Fell Defending Leningrad» at Piskarevskoe Memorial Cemetery.
The exhibition «Turkmenistan» at the State Ethnographic Museum and the presentation of the book by Makhtumkuli Fragi «Selected Works» were also timed to the Conference.
