    Bogdan Borusewicz, Senate Marshal of Poland, Visited St.Petersburg within the Confines of World Day of Polonia and Poles Abroad

    Within the confines of World Day of Polonia and Poles Abroad, held for the eighth time, Bogdan Borusewicz, Senate Marshal of Poland, visited St.Petersburg on April 24 through 26, 2009, along with the members of the Government of the Republic of Poland and chairpeople of European and Russian Polonian organizations.

    Within the confines of World Day of Polonia and Poles Abroad, held for the eighth time, Bogdan Borusewicz, Senate Marshal of Poland, visited St.Petersburg on April 24 through 26, 2009, along with the members of the Government of the Republic of Poland and chairpeople of European and Russian Polonian organizations.

    During the visit, B. Borusewicz met with L.A. Kostkina, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, and the current issues of cooperation were discussed.

    As a part of Polonia Day, St.Petersburg arranged a concert of jazz singer Anna Maria Jopek in Musical Comedy Theatre, while the «House of Nationalities» hosted the meeting of local Polonian associations.

    The Polish delegation laid wreaths at the memorial in Levashovo and participated in opening the Polish Library at St.Stanislaw Church.
