    A session of Co-ordinating committee of UNESCO chairs in Russian Federation was held at SRPU named after A.I.Gertsen on March 27, 2009.

    A session of Co-ordinating committee of UNESCO chairs in Russian Federation was held at SRPU named after A.I.Gertsen on March 27, 2009.

    The session was atended by G.E. Ordzhonikidze, Executive Secretary of the Russian Federation Commission over UNESCO Affairs, V.K. Egorov, Head of Committee, Rector of Russian Academy of Public Service at President of Russian Federation, members of the Committee – heads of the Russian UNESCO chairs, members of Russian committees over UNESCO programs, and Z.B. Sakhautdinova, Head of the Committee for External Relations of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugry.

    On behalf of St.Petersburg, the session was attended by representatives of UNESCO chair for paedagogical sciences of SRPU named after A.I.Gertsen, as well as UNESCO chair «Remote Education of Engineering» of the St.Petersburg University of Aerospace Instrument Making, while N.V. Strugova, Principal Expert, represented the Committee for External Relations of St.Petersburg.

    During the session, the issues of running the World Congress of UNESCO Chairs of Sustainable Development in Khanty-Mansiysk in September, 2009 were discussed and applications on establishing the new UNESCO chairs were considered.
