    On July 4 - 8, 2019, a delegation of the Khokimiyat of the Bukhara region (Republic of Uzbekistan) visited St. Petersburg

    The delegation was led by the deputy hokim of Bukhara region Sanatillo Hikmatov.

    On July 5, in Smolny, the delegation of the Bukhara region met with the chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, Yevgeny Grigoryev.

    From the side of St. Petersburg, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Committee for Industrial Policy and Innovation of St. Petersburg, SPb GBU "Investment Management" and SPB GBU "Center for the Development and Support of Entrepreneurship."

    From the Bukhara region, the delegation was attended by representatives of the Khokimiyat’s specialized departments for investment and foreign trade, economics and the integrated development of the region’s regions, as well as the leadership of the Council of farmers and dekhkan farms and private land owners of the Bukhara region and representatives of companies engaged in the agro-industrial sector and other directions.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of expanding cooperation, including in the field of agriculture, light industry and the oil and gas industry. The Uzbek side expressed particular interest in studying the experience of St. Petersburg in working with investors in a single window format.

    In addition, during the visit, the delegation of the Bukhara region visited the government of the Leningrad Region, the Leningrad Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Vyborzhets agricultural holding.
