    Meeting of A.V. Prokhorenko, Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, and Wolf-Ruthart Born, State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry of Germany

    On August 11, 2010, A.V. Prokhorenko? Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations and member of the Government, had in Smolny a conversation with Wolf-Ruthart Born, State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry of Germany.

    On August 11, 2010, A.V. Prokhorenko? Chairman of St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations and member of the Government, had in Smolny a conversation with Wolf-Ruthart Born, State Secretary of Foreign Affairs Ministry of Germany.

    At the meeting, the issues of cooperation of St.Petersburg and the regions of Germany were discussed.
    In particular, Mr Born was presented the projects in the field of disaster prevention, implemented jointly with partner city of Hamburg, the initiatives for cooperation in power industry, health care, pharmaceuticals, and logistics in cooperation with Bavaria, Dresden, Duesseldorf and other cities and regions of Germany.
    Special attention was paid to the possibility of attracting new German investors in St.Petersburg, including those concerning the work in the SEZ in St.Petersburg. A successful start of working with German company Fraport AG over the reconstruction of Pulkovo airport was mentioned.
    Wolf-Ruthart Born noted that the leadership of German Foreign Affairs Ministry attaches great importance to continuing the partnership with Russia.
