A delegation of Association of Enthusiasts of Ancient and Historical Clocks of Germany arrived to St.Petersburg. Since 2000, the German watchmakers, members of the Association of Enthusiasts of Ancient and Historical Clocks have been cooperating with the State Museum-Preserve “Peterhof”.

The nature of the project is charitable: during their vacations, German watchmakers are working on the restoration of the clockworks, on a pro bono basis, in the Museum “Peterhof” where a special workshop is equipped with the tools brought from Germany. The Association purchases, at its own expense, the spare parts that are required for recovery of the clockwork.

The Association of Masters also plans the restoration works at the State Hermitage.

More than 40 members of the Association actively participate in international projects. The Association holds annual exhibitions to promote the watchmaking.
