On June 8 through 10, 2010, His Royal Highness the Duke of York visited St.Petersburg as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment.
During the visit, the Duke of York met with V.I. Matvienko, Governor of St.Petersburg, to discuss the issues of economic cooperation, including the possibility of participation of British companies in the development of pharmaceutical and high-tech clusters and implementation of the projects in transport and tourism industry.
The Duke of York also met with leading representatives of Russian and British business, visited a complex of protective structures, Pulkovo Airport, and British bank HSBC, and took part in a briefing on the development of transport and commercial navigation.
