The initiative to create an information resource arose following the visit of the delegation of St.Petersburg, headed by Governor Valentina Matvienko, to Argentina in April 2010.
The aim of the project is to promote business contacts between St.Petersburg and Argentine entrepreneurs, and to announce and inform about cultural events held in the cities-partners.
Agreement on Cooperation between the cities was signed in October 2009, during the visit of Gustavo Putli, Mayor of Mar del Plata (Argentina), to St.Petersburg.
