The event was organized by the initiative of the Embassy of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in the Russian Federation with the assistance of the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg and St. Petersburg chamber of Commerce and industry.
The program of the forum included a plenary session, reports and presentations on the prospects for the development of trade, economic and investment relations between Russia and Ethiopia. Representatives of St. Petersburg and Ethiopian companies in the B2B format discussed cooperation in the field of investment, tourism and agricultural products.
Before the forum, Vyacheslav Kalganov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg, met with the Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to the Russian Federation Alemayehu Tegen and Honorary Consul of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia in St. Petersburg Alexander Vakhmistrov. The parties discussed the intensification of bilateral cooperation, including the development of contacts with St. Petersburg sue "Vodokanal" in the field of water treatment and sanitation, cooperation with Orthodox organizations, academic exchanges and tourism.
