The presentation was organized in the framework of the departmental project of the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg "St. Petersburg cuisine".
Students presented reports on the history of the tea drinking tradition in Russia, the main features of tea ceremonies in different layers of society of the 19th century, as well as dishes that were traditionally served in noble and merchant houses.
As a practical part of the project, students, using old recipes I. Radetsky, E. Avdeeva and E. Molohovets, prepared in the traditional St. Petersburg food and sweets like eclairs, custard pretzels, kórnik and cabbage pie and Apple candy and candied fruits.
At the end of the presentation, the College teachers received letters of thanks on behalf of the Chairman of the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg Evgeny Grigoriev for his educational activities and contribution to the development of the project "St. Petersburg cuisine".
The project was implemented under the guidance of the teacher of history of the College Tatyana Tsvetkova, curator of the Museum of public catering development of St. Petersburg.
