In Washington, the play was given on April 2 at the Russian cultural center and in New York – on April 3 at the Multicultural center "Kaleidoscope".
Residents of the besieged Leningrad, young and young compatriots living in the United States, were welcomed by the Director of the Rossotrudnichestvo mission in Washington, mark Kalinin and the Deputy head of the Rossotrudnichestvo mission in New York, Anastasia Goryunova. "We always remembered, remember and will remember the feat of Leningrad! For us, he is a symbol of perseverance and dedication!"she said.

In Washington before the performance was awarded a commemorative sign "In honor of the 75th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade" resident of the besieged Leningrad Maria Kiseleva. Due to her advanced age, unfortunately, she was not able to attend the performance in person, the award was taken by her daughter.
As part of the project, the audience was presented with the premiere of the play on the story of Victor Konetsky "Door". (The production tells about one day in the life of a schoolgirl Tamara Yaremenko, who got to Leningrad before the blockade. In action fit all: shelling, bomb shelters, hunger and cold, unexpected turns of fate, fear of the future, unexpected meetings, hope for the best, as well as courage and self-sacrifice in the name of victory).
Almost all the young guests were not familiar with such an important page of history as the siege of Leningrad. But the play "the Door" plunged everyone into those distant terrible years of the war. The audience wept and smiled with the actors.
After the performance, the audience applauded standing. There were thanks to the artists that they "show the real story, teach children not just to contemplate, but to think – to pass through themselves".
Also in Washington was organized a photo exhibition "I'm talking to you from Leningrad..." dedicated to the siege of Leningrad. Visitors of the evening were given ribbons of the Leningrad victory, as well as military letters-"triangles", prepared by the listeners of the St. Petersburg Palace of young people.
