    On April 2 within the Week of Germany in St. Petersburg on Malaya Sadovaya Street the exhibition "Masters of Russia" was opened: made in German

    The pictures were taken by world-class authors from Germany and Russia. Total – 30 illustrations.

    The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of the administration of St. Petersburg, the Russian-German chamber of Commerce, the Consulate General of Germany in St. Petersburg, as well as the management of companies involved in the project.

    On the stands there are, for example, photos of Henkel products, which everyone in Russia knows, from production workers to Housewives, pictures of the facade of the Lakhta center, built by Joseph Gartner, Lufthansa aircraft, and, of course, photos of all the familiar "peregrine Falcons" of Siemens.

    Deputy Chairman of the Committee Vyacheslav Kalganov took part in the opening of the exhibition from the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg.

    "Our city and Germany are connected by strong economic ties, which despite everything continue to develop and strengthen, – he said. – Our German partners include the twin cities of Hamburg and Dresden, the Federal States of Mecklenburg - Vorpommern, North Rhine-Westphalia, Saxony and Bavaria, with whom we also maintain constant contact and develop cooperation."

    Director of the branch of the North-West company "Siemens" Vladimir Nikitenko in his welcoming speech said: "It is especially gratifying that the company remains loyal to the Russian market for the second century: today in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region there are three enterprises "Siemens".

    "German business has created more than 250,000 jobs in modern Russia, – said Matthias schöpp, Chairman of the Board of the Russian-German chamber of Commerce. – Last year alone, Germany invested more than two billion euros in Russian business." According to Mr. schöpp, German business has been and remains loyal to the Russian market, despite all the political difficulties. And it is the most reliable bridge connecting our countries.

    Alexander Lilien-Schmidt, financial Director of Henkel Russia and Eastern Europe cluster, also spoke about the role of Russia as a key partner of the company.

    The exhibition is part of a large-scale multimedia project of the Russian-German chamber of Commerce "Masters of Russia: made in German." Before arriving in St. Petersburg, the exhibition was successfully demonstrated on the Central streets of Moscow during the World Cup and in Sochi.     The exhibition in St. Petersburg will be open until April 22.
