The event was organized as part of the educational and exhibition project "City by the sea", which is implemented by partner cities of St. Petersburg and nice.
The exhibition presents more than 100 works of students of the Exemplary Studio of fine arts "Transfiguration" of the House of children's creativity "Transfiguration" and students of the secondary school "Ronchèse" of nice with in-depth study of the Russian language.
The theme for the pictures is not chosen by chance: 2019 was declared the year of cinema in France, and the same theme was devoted to the 135th annual Carnival in nice.
Greeting to the organizers and participants of the exhibition was sent by the Chairman of the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg Evgeny Grigoriev.
"This is a good example of the interaction of talented children from St. Petersburg and nice in the visual arts is undoubtedly an integral part of the formation of a strong Foundation for cooperation between partner cities", - said Evgeny Grigoriev.
The opening of the exhibition was also attended by the Consul General of France in St. Petersburg Hugo de Chavagnac.

The organizer is GBU DO "House of children's creativity of the Central district of St. Petersburg "Preobrazhensky", with the support of the Consulate General of France in St. Petersburg, the Committee for external relations of St. Petersburg, the city hall of nice, secondary school "Ronchèse" (nice) with in-depth study of the Russian language.
In Nice, the exhibition was presented in the library "Raoul Mille" in the days of the carnival from February 22 to March 8, 2019. At the opening of the exhibition, students of the Studio "Transfiguration" of the House of creativity "Transfiguration" presented their works (young Petersburgers are invited to nice as guests of honor of the carnival).
In mid-April this year, the French participants of the project are expected to pay a return visit to St. Petersburg.
