    Foreign experts' experience in waste management was discussed in Smolny

    On March 22, 2019, negotiations on cooperation between the Administration of St. Petersburg and the UNIDO Center for International Industrial Cooperation in the field of ecology and waste management, including solid municipal waste were held in Smolny. On the part of St. Petersburg, the meeting was held by Vice-Governor Nikolay Bondarenko. The delegation from UNIDO included employees of the Central Office of the organization in Vienna, representatives of the Austrian federal government, as well as experts in the field of waste management and recycling from different countries.

    The meeting was organized by the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg and the Committee for urban development following the visit of the delegation to St. Petersburg and work in the framework of the XV International Specialized Exhibition "Housing and Utilities of Russia".

    During the visit, the delegation visited a number of facilities, including a household waste recycling plant.

    At the end of the meeting, the final protocol was signed.
