March 12, 2019 in St. Petersburg on the sidelines of the XIII St. Petersburg partner of small and medium business "St. Petersburg-regions of Russia and abroad" held a meeting of the current Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Beglov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation Znaur Gassiev.
During the meeting the sides discussed various issues of socio-economic nature, as well as the implementation of planned programs, including the drafting and signing of the Agreement between St. Petersburg Administration and the Government of the Republic of South Ossetia on cooperation, provision of medical assistance in healthcare institutions of St. Petersburg citizens of the Russian Federation living in South Ossetia in the framework of MLA and high-tech medical aid.
Alexander Beglov expressed confidence that the close cooperation between St. Petersburg and South Ossetia will continue to contribute to the strengthening of comprehensive cooperation between the two States.
For his part, Znaur Gassiev thanked the head of St. Petersburg for the warm welcome and on behalf of the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov wished success and prosperity to the Northern capital.
