Innovative developments of SpbgMTU for the civil market and, in particular, their export potential were discussed.
One of the developments of the University was demonstrated at the presentation: underwater towing pushing type "Factor". (Such devices are used by divers for mobile movement under water).
This model takes into account the shortcomings that are inherent in conventional tugs: the need to control both hands, the use of special strapping to secure the diver, the inability of underwater transportation of goods. As noted, this model is superior in tactical and technical characteristics of all known analogues and is designed for active operation.
Also, representatives of SpbgMTU demonstrated the work of the installation of direct laser cultivation, which allows to create products of complex shape according to a predetermined 3D model. The technology allows to reduce the cost and time cycle of manufacturing complex parts, as well as to obtain parts with new performance characteristics that are unattainable by traditional methods.
