    Delegation of Naoussa City (Hellenic Republic) led by Mayor Nikos Koutsogiannis visited St. Petersburg on 10 October 2018 under the Cooperation Agreement between Liteyny Municipal Okrug and Municipality of Naoussa

    The delegation also included members of Greek chorus of senior citizens of Naoussa City (The Choir’s name “KAPI Naoussa Choir” is translated as “Choir of Naoussa City Center for Senior Citizens”).

    The Choir’s singers are not professional musicians, they practise music in a social and leisure center. The Choir’s oldest member is 89 years old. A gifted maestro is in charge of the Choir. In addition to his brilliant piano accompaniment, he also composes songs and music of his own for their performances

    On October 12 “Russia and Greece – the Two Cultures’ Alliance”’ Concert was held at the Concert Hall “At Finlandsky” where guests from Greece and “Sozvuchiye” Chamber Choir of Tsentralny District performed.  

    Before the concert commenced, Head of Tsentralny District Andrey Khlutkov, Head of Liteyny Municipal Okrug Pavel Dainyak and Mayor of Naoussa City Nikos Koutsogiannis welcomed the audience.

    Reference:

    Cooperation Agreement between Liteyny Municipal Okrug and Municipality of Naoussa (Hellenic Republic) was signed in autumn 2017 within the International Conference “St. Petersburg and Greece: Combining Efforts”. The document is aimed at such objectives as enhancing cooperation in culture, youth-to-youth contacts and supporting older persons.

    The Events were organized under the auspices of the Information and Business Center of St. Petersburg in Greece and the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg.
