The delegation included representatives of the Education Committee and the International relations Department of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. The General Consul of the Czech Republic in St. Petersburg Karel Künl also took part in the events of the visit.
At the request of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in St. Petersburg, the External Affairs Committee of St. Petersburg organized a number of meetings of the delegation with representatives of the education system of St. Petersburg.
During the visit on October 15, the delegation visited the St. Petersburg boarding school n.a. K. K. Grot, where they got acquainted with the system of education of children with special needs. On the same day, there was a meeting of the delegation with the Chairman of the Education Committee J. V. Vorobyeva. During the conversation, the Czech side found out about the education system in the Russian Federation and the system of education in secondary schools of St. Petersburg. As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to establish contacts between special schools for children with different physical and mental abilities in St. Petersburg and the Czech Republic.
On October 16, the delegation went to the Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University, where they met with the Vice-rector of international affairs prof. Dmitry Arsenyev and visited the laboratory of the new academic building.
There was also a meeting with the Chairman of the Committee of science and high school Maximov A.S., during which the parties discussed the system of higher education in St. Petersburg and the possibility of cooperation between higher education institutions of St. Petersburg and the Czech Republic.
