During the visit, the delegation took part in the Ist Forum of interregional cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Particularly, the members of the St. Petersburg delegation attended the Plenary session of the Forum, held with the participation of the President of Russia V. V. Putin and the President of Uzbekistan Sh. M. Mirziyoyev, took part in the business Breakfast "Russia-Uzbekistan: the expansion and development of mutually beneficial cooperation", panel session on "Digital transformation – the new reality for Russia and Uzbekistan," the pitch session, presentations of Russian companies in industries as well as the exchange of business contacts and business Breakfast of the Minister of economic development of the Russian Federation M. S. Oreshkin and Minister of economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. A. Khodjaev.
During the visit, the special representative of the Governor of St. Petersburg on issues of economic development A. I. Kotov talked over with the trade representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan A. I. Mokrousova and the khokimiyats leadership of Tashkent and Tashkent region.
On October 18 "on the sidelines" of the Forum was held the solemn signing of three agreements of the intent of the St. Petersburg company LLC "AMS Group" with partners in Uzbekistan: the company LLC "Baxtteks-Farm" on the project of the organization of the textile products for medical purposes (medical gauze, bandages, cotton wool, etc.) supply, the UE company "Dekhkanabad potash fertilizer plant" on the project of creation of a joint venture for the production of micronutrients, as well as on the project of a joint venture for the production of granulated potash fertilizers.
