    On 14 December, St. Petersburg was visited by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia in Russian Federation, Mr. Peter Tesch

    Mr. P. Tesch took part in the opening ceremony of a specialized educational and scientific laboratories of the Australian company "Orica CIS" in the St. Petersburg Mining University.

    The ceremony was also attended by the ‎Head of Marketing Europe, Africa & Asia, Eden Paki and Honorary Consul of Australia in St. Petersburg S. Fitzlyon.

    The Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, E.D. Grigoriev, addressed his greeting to participants and organizers of the ceremony, in which he noted a long-standing historical and cultural ties between St. Petersburg and Australia. Special attention was paid to the role of mutually beneficial contacts between St. Petersburg and Australian companies in strengthening of bilateral cooperation in business sphere. "Opening of "Orica CIS" laboratory in St. Petersburg Mining University will facilitate advanced scientific research and upgrade training of engineering personnel", – Evgeny Grigoriev expressed his confidence.
