    On 21-25 December, the delegation of Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina visited St. Petersburg and took part in St. Petersburg Christmas Fair

    The delegation was led by the Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation, Mr. Zlatan Klokic. The delegation also included representatives of the Ministry of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation, the Ministry of Trade and Tourism, representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska.

    On 24 December, the delegation as a guest of honor visited the official opening ceremony of St. Petersburg Christmas Fair. The Minister, Mr. Zlatan Klokic addressed the guests with a welcome speech. After that, St. Petersburg citizens and guests were congratulated by the ethno group "Trag" - vocal-instrumental band from the Republic of Srpska, whose basic repertoire consists of traditional Balkan songs.

    At the Fair, Mr. Zlatan Klokic also took part in a charity event to collect Christmas gifts for children from orphanages. the Minister of Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation of the Republic of Srpska brought clothes, toys and sweet treats to the gift box.

    On 25 December, St. Petersburg Christmas Fair hosted the first Day of the Republic of Srpska. On this occasion, there was a concert of ethno group "Trag" that sang songs in Serbian and Russian.

    The trading house of the Republic of Srpska will also work at the Fair until January 8. Guests of the Fair can enjoy Serbian holiday food, and buy traditional souvenirs, including national Zmijanje embroidery (for reference: in November 2014, this embroidery was included into the UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity).

    In the framework of the business program, the members of the delegation of the Republic of Srpska attended the meeting with representatives of the Administration of St. Petersburg and business circles of the city. The meeting was hosted by the St.Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry. On the part of St. Petersburg the meeting was attended by: the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, I.O. Lonsky, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Entrepreneurship and Consumer Market Development of St. Petersburg, E.A. Kapustina, the Chairman of the Council of St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, V.I. Katenev,  the President of St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yu.N. Burchakov, the representatives of the State Public Establishment “St. Petersburg Tourist Information Bureau” and St. Petersburg state-financed institution "Center for Entrepreneurship Development and Support" (CEDS).

    During the meeting, the parties discussed the results of cooperation in 2016 and the issues of cooperation in the framework of the "Road Map": measures for the implementation of priority areas of cooperation between the Government of St. Petersburg and the Republic of Srpska for 2017 - 2019 (for reference: the "Road Map" was signed by the Governor of St. Petersburg, G.S. Poltavchenko, and the President of the Republic of Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Milorad Dodik, on 16 June 2016).

    At the end of the meeting, there was a presentation of economic and tourist potential of the Republic of Srpska, as well as the presentation of products and national dishes.
