    On 14 - 17 November, Saint-Petersburg delegation visited Israel and participated in International Conference on Homeland Security & Cyber "Israel HLS&CYBER2016"

    During the conference, Saint-Petersburg delegation familiarized with the advanced security systems technologies. In particular, it included: video surveillance systems, software solutions, technology, which can detect and prevent acts of unlawful interference in the transport infrastructure, vehicles using analytics, intelligence and biometrics.

    The delegation was led by the Vice Governor of St. Petersburg, S.N. Movchan. The delegation included representatives of the city administration and the heads of the strategic facilities of transport infrastructure.

    During the conference, Saint-Petersburg delegation familiarized with the advanced security systems technologies. In particular, it included: video surveillance systems, software solutions, technology, which can detect and prevent acts of unlawful interference in the transport infrastructure, vehicles using analytics, intelligence and biometrics.

    The delegation also got acquainted with the organization of transport security in Ashdod Port, studied the experience of the new trends in the development of technical protection means for transport facilities, visited the companies "Mobileye", "TSG", Mer group, Situational center in the old city of Jerusalem and Ben Gurion airport.

    The study of the Israeli experience is especially important on the eve of the major international sporting events in St. Petersburg: the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and the FIFA World Cup 2018.

    The representatives of the Israeli business community spoke about their companies' activities, outlining the interests and possible areas of cooperation with Russian partners. As a result of meetings and negotiations with the interested companies, there were proposed the possible locations of production sites in the special economic zones, as well as in the industrial zones of Saint-Petersburg.

    Within the framework of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg on cooperation with compatriots abroad, there was a meeting with the new Chairman of the Coordination Council of compatriots' organizations in Israel, L.G. Litinetsky on the establishment of organizations of compatriots, natives of Leningrad - St. Petersburg.
