On 30 September, there was a ceremonial event aboard "Brazil" dedicated to its arrival to St. Petersburg. The participants were welcomed by the speeches of: the Captain 1st rank, José Luiz Ferreira Canela, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Brazil to the Russian Federation, Antonio José Vallim Guerreiro and the Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg E.D. Grigoriev.

The pupils of the Children's Maritime Academy have prepared a creative gift for the guests: they presented the dance "Apple", an acrobatic routine "Snake girl" and the song "St. Petersburg".

On 1 October, the ship was open to the public.

The visit of the training ship "Brazil" became a symbol of the strengthening of friendly relations between St. Petersburg and the Federative Republic of Brazil. It was the second visit of a foreign warship to our city over the past three years.

Assistance in the preparation and the visit arrangement for the Western Military District was provided by the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg.
