    The parties discussed the promising areas of interaction in economy, culture and education and also confirmed their interest in the development of relationships within the framework of the activities performed by the Joint Workgroup for Trade and Economic and Research and Engineering Cooperation of St. Petersburg and the Czech Republic as well as in the sphere of interregional relations.

    The Czech cities of Prague and Brno along with the Karlovy Vary Region were invited to participate in III International Congress “St. Petersburg and the Slavic World” to be held in St. Petersburg on December 13-17, 2015. Mr. K. Kühnl also notified his counterpart that a meeting with the veterans of World War II – participants of Czechoslovakia’s liberation – would be held at the Museum of Political History of St. Petersburg at 15.00 on October 9, 2015.
