Organizers: the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO, the National Commission of the Republic of Korea for UNESCO, the Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding with support of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg and the Committee for Education.
The main goal of the event is by the use of photography to attract the attention of schoolchildren to the UNESCO World Heritage Objects, to encourage interest in culture and national traditions as well as to facilitate the skills of international communication.
The Photo class features 12 delegates from the Republic of Korea and representatives from the UNESCO-Associated Schools of St. Petersburg and other regions of the Russian Federation.
The program includes master classes and lectures on the techniques of photography and practical classes.
The opening ceremony of was held in the St. Petersburg Palace of Youth Creativity (Anichkov Palace, Nevsky pr., 39). An exhibition of the participants’ works will be opened in the Belokolonny (White-Pillared) Hall of Anichkov Palace on September 18 following the results of the photo class.
