A meeting of the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko with the Mayor of Bălți Renato Usaty devoted to the issued of bilateral cooperation took place in Smolny as part of the delegation’s program.

The meeting was attended by the Vice Governors of St. Petersburg Oleg Markov and Sergey Movchan, the Chairman of the Committee for External Relations Evgeny Grigoriev and the Acting Head of the Administration of Pushkinsky District of St. Petersburg Dmitry Berestov.
The promising areas for further cooperation were outlined at the meeting: youth exchange, interaction in the area of healthcare, culture, tourism, including medical tourism. The Mayor of Balti Renato Usaty suggested organizing trainings for Moldavian healthcare workers at the medical establishments of St. Petersburg.
An Agreement on cooperation between the Administration of Pushkinsky District of St. Petersburg (Russian Federation) and the Executive Branch of the Municipal Council of Balti (Republic of Moldova) on cultural, trade and economic, research and engineering cooperation was signed after the meeting of the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko with the Mayor of Balti R.G. Usaty. The Agreement was signed by the Acting Head of the Administration of Pushkinsky District of St. Petersburg and the Mayor of Balti R.G. Usaty.
The program of the visit included a trip to the workshops of “Pushkinsky Engineering Works”, where the members of the delegation familiarized themselves with the range of the manufactures products.
