An agreement on signing a protocol on cooperation between the city council of Alexandroupolis and the administration of Vyborgsky district of St. Petersburg was reached in the course of the meeting.
Social sphere and education including organization of vacations for children, cultural exchange, and tourism development were especially emphasized by the participants of the meeting among other promising areas of cooperation.
The Mayor of Alexandroupolis Avangelos Lampakis showed special interest in developing relations with St. Petersburg and attracting Russian business to Alexandroupolis. The Mayor of Alexandroupolis confirmed the possibility of admitting schoolchildren from Vyborgsky district for summer vacations as early as this year.
