This collection was prepared and issued within the framework of cross year of Russia and Holland.
On November 25 the presentation of the collection of articles Saint Petersburg – the Netherland took place in Ambassador Hotel with the participation of Mr. A.V. Prokhorenko, the Member of St. Petersburg Government – the Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, and Mr. Jennes de Mol, the Consul General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in St. Petersburg.
This collection was prepared and issued within the framework of cross year of Russia and Holland.
This edition is dedicated to the history of relations between St. Petersburg and the Netherlands, and it contains a number of articles written by researchers of the institutes of Russian Academy of Sciences, of large libraries, museums, archives, and also а great variety of illustrations, including documents, photos, maps, etc. Many works are issued for the first time.
Presentation of the above mentioned collection took place in the Netherlands in October 2013 as a part of cultural and business mission of St. Petersburg.
Since 2005, under the patronage of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, the collections of articles have been issued under common title “St. Petersburg and the world”. Over that period of time Evropeyskiy Dom Publishing House issued more than ten collections.
