During the visit in the municipality of Marseilles the meeting of Mr. A.V. Prokhorenko with Mr. J. Rocca Serra, the Deputy Mayor of Marseille was held and they discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation between the two cities, including cooperation in the field of culture and economy. The two parties also noted the common interest in conducting the exchange programs in the sphere of modernization of sea ports infrastructure, youth policy, sports, science and education.
At the Municipal Opera of Marseilles on November 20 in the evening the opening night of "Petersburg theatrical season" was held with the gala concert of St. Petersburg ballet stars.
Holding of this festival is the first major joint project of the Government of St. Petersburg and the Municipality of Marseilles.
In the framework of the festival which will end on November 29, the Marseille audience will see "The Lady with the Dog" presented by the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater, "Chamber number 6" by "Russian Enterprise" Theatre named after Andrey Mironov, "LIR" by "Priyut Komedianta" Theatre, "Dreams of Love or Balzaminov’s Marriage” by “Workshop” of Grigory Kozlov Theatre, and also "Golden Collection" exhibition of puppets.
