The visit included the meetings with Mr. V.N. Kichedzhi, the Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg, with the participation of Mr. A.A.Lobkov, the Chairman of the Committee for press and media and Mr. B.A.Illarionov, the first Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Culture of St. Petersburg, Mr. A.A. Shapkin, the Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg and Mr. I.O. Lonskiy, the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues in the fields of culture, education, tourism, convention and exhibition activities, transport. Particular attention was paid to such issues as cooperation between the educational institutions of St. Petersburg and Nice, including the cooperation between universities, leading educational activities in the field of hotel and restaurant business; partnerships expanding between the creative teams of two cities (symphony orchestras, dance companies, leading theaters ); participation in the major city events such as City Day on May 27 in St. Petersburg, "Imperial Bouquet " Festival in Pavlovsk, "Christmas village" Carnival in Nice.
The parties reached agreement in a number of key issues. In particular, the representatives of Nice will take part in the International Cultural Forum in St. Petersburg in December this year; the exhibition of St.Petersburg artists will be held in Nice in 2014; the traditional cooperation between the book fairs in St. Petersburg and Nice will continue. The agreement on cooperation between St. Petersburg and Nice in 2014 is expected to be signed following the negotiations during the visit
