    On October, 1st the Kotka (Finland) City Day was celebrated in Saint Petersburg.

    The special events were assisted by the representatives of city administrations of St.Petersburg and Kotka, as well as by university professors, cultural figures, businessmen and members of non-governmental organizations.

    The Kotka delegation was headed by its Mayor Henry Lindelöf.  The participants held panel discussions of a wide range of relevant topics regarding cooperation: business development, ecology, the perspectives offered by electronic technologies, investment projects, cooperation in such fields as sea links, logistics, risk management, healthcare, broadening of collaboration between the universities of St.Petersburg and Finland, new cultural projects.

    The exposition titled “Landscapes of St.Petersburg and Kotka” was inaugurated at the House of Finland (Bolshaya Konushennaya str., 8, ground-floor, room A002). This exposition had been arranged by the Kotka branch of the Ilya Repin St.Petersburg Institute for Painting, Sculpture and Architecture.
