    On October, 8th 2013 there was a meeting between A.V. Prokhorenko, the St.Petersburg City Administration member, the President of St. Petersburg Committee for External Relations, and Gareth Ward, Consul-General of the UK dedicated to the accomplishment of his diplomatic mission in St.Petersburg.

    On October, 8th 2013 there was a meeting between A.V. Prokhorenko, the St.Petersburg City Administration member, the President of St. Petersburg Committee for External Relations, and Gareth Ward, Consul-General of the UK dedicated to the accomplishment of his diplomatic mission in St.Petersburg.

    A.V.Prokhorenko expressed his gratitude to Gareth Ward for maintaining and strengthening the bilateral relations between St.Petersburg and Great Britain. Gareth Ward worked in the city of St.Petersburg for three years.

    The Northern capital of Russia houses British companies, which operate successfully, incrementing the commodity turnover between St.Petersburg and Great Britain.In the end of 2012 Great Britain was in the first place by the investment into the economy of St.Petersburg. In his turn, Gareth Ward expressed his gratitude for the cooperation and the support provided to arrange joint events. The parties highlighted as the priority ones the joint economic projects and the upcoming events planned within the framework of the mutual Year of Culture Russia-UK 2014.
