    On 23rd April 2013 St. Petersburg Vice-Governor O.A. Markov met with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Serbia in the Russian Federation Slavenko Terzic and the Mayors of Serbian towns Jagodina, Vranje and Novi Pazar

    Emphasis was given on the importance of the economic component of the Petersburg-Serbian relations, particularly in areas such as agriculture, construction, light industry and tourism. Within the framework of cultural cooperation, the parties agreed to organize an exchange of exhibitions of contemporary art in St. Petersburg and Belgrade.

    Vice-Governor O.A. Markov wished continued success to S. Terzic in his future endeavours and invited to think about the opening of representative office of the Republic of Serbia in St. Petersburg, which, according to him, will establish a more constructive dialogue between St. Petersburg and Serbia.
