    On November 27, 2012, a meeting with the representatives of the UN-Habitat (UN-HABITAT) – Inter-Regional Advisor of the Program Paulius Kulikauskas and the head of the UN-Habitat in Russia T. Habarova - took place at the Committee on Foreign Relations of St. Petersburg in Smolny. 

    On November 27, 2012, a meeting with the representatives of the UN-Habitat (UN-HABITAT) – Inter-Regional Advisor of the Program Paulius Kulikauskas and the head of the UN-Habitat in Russia T. Habarova - took place at the Committee on Foreign Relations of St. Petersburg in Smolny.

    The United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT) is the key body within the United Nations to achieve international cooperation in the field of sustainable urban development. The mandate of the program implies assistance in solving problems of urban infrastructure development and sharing best practices of settlements management and planning.

    The preparations for the International Seminar on effective land use in metropolitan areas for sustainable development, which will be held in June 2013 in conjunction with the UN-Habitat, and where issues relevant to St. Petersburg will be at the core, were discussed.
