    Parliamentary Delegation of the Australian State of Victoria Visited St. Petersburg

    Tha main goal of the visit - strengthening of humanitarian and business cooperation between St. Petersburg and the capital of the state of Victoria, our partner city of Melbourne.

    November 3 to November 8, 2012, St. Petersburg hosted a delegation of the Parliament of the state of Victoria (Australia) that included B. Atkinson, President of the Legislative Council, Ken Smith, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Heidi Victoria, Parliamentary Secretary, Art Adviser to the Prime Minister of Victoria, A. Grigoryev, Director of IBC of St. Petersburg in Melbourne, as well as three winners of the photo contest on the Partnership of St. Petersburg and Melbourne running at the National Library of Russia (165 Moskovsky Prospekt).

    During the visit, the delegation met with a member of the Government of St. Petersburg, Chairman of the Committee for External Relations, A. Prokhorenko, where they discussed strengthening of humanitarian and business cooperation between St. Petersburg and the capital of the state of Victoria, our partner city of Melbourne.

    The delegation met with the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, S. Andenko, visited the National Mineral Resources University, the Academy of Russian Ballet named after A. Vaganova, the Ballet Theatre of Boris Eifman, the State Museum of Political History of Russia, the State Museum of History of St. Petersburg, and the Central Naval Museum.
