Location: Museum of Political History of Russia, 2/4 Kuibysheva Str., St. Petersburg (near Gorkovskaya subway station).
Aland Islands represent an archipelago located in the middle of the Baltic Sea. This is a demilitarized Swedish-speaking region with the right of self-government secured by international guarantees. In spite of its small population of 28,000 people, the region has its own flag and own postal stamps, while the local parliament and government have extensive legislative and executive powers.
