    World Record Holder German Racer Rainer Zietlow Visited St.Petersburg

    On January 25, 2012, St.Petersburg's Committee on Physical Culture and Sport, with the assistance of the Committee for External Relations, held talks with German racer, world record holder Rainer Zietlow concerning the organization of the world record car race between the partner cities Melbourne (Australia) and St.Petersburg in August 2012.

    On January 25, 2012, St.Petersburg's Committee on Physical Culture and Sport, with the assistance of the Committee for External Relations, held talks with German racer, world record holder Rainer Zietlow concerning the organization of the world record car race between the partner cities Melbourne (Australia) and St.Petersburg in August 2012.

    The project is timed to coincide with the 175th anniversary of Melbourne and aims to draw attention to the partnership between the two cities located in different continents, by linking them with a symbolic route of the rally.
