On November 25, 2011, St.Petersburg Committee for External Relations, run a roundtable on “Inter-religious Tolerance and Cross-Cultural Communication in the Tourist Dimension” in Tavricheskiy Palace, within the framework of the II International Forum on Tourism Development.
The business meeting was attended by the representatives of religious organizations in St.Petersburg, the leaders of travel companies, and related departments of Russian universities.
The discussion was concentrated around the issues of the potential of religious organizations and monuments of the national spiritual history to bring the culture of peace in the educational and youth tourism.
At the end of the round table, it was considered appropriate to continue the practice of such meetings to create a partnership around the tourism projects, able to strengthen inter-ethnic and inter-religious respect.
