    On 4 - 21 March 2016, St. Petersburg hosted the events dedicated to St. Patrick's Day, the patron of Ireland

    On 14 March, International Competition on the Irish poetry was organized at 606 school's premises.

    On 20 March, one of the concert halls of St. Petersburg hosted the XVII International Folk Festival "St. Patrick's Day in St. Petersburg".

    On 21 March, St. Petersburg State University of Economics (UNECON) hosted the VI Irish Festival in St. Petersburg. The festival program included: scientific-practical conference, limericks translation contest, Irish music and dance concert. The festival was attended by: Irish Ambassador to Russia Mr. Adrian McDaid, Honorary Consul of Ireland in St. Petersburg A.P. Shashin, the representatives of the Committee for External Relations of St. Petersburg, students and teachers of UNECON.
