    The Joint Working Group on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technological Cooperation between St.Petersburg and the Czech Republic

    On October 20, 2011, the XI session of the Joint Working Group on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation was in the building of the Czech Republic Consulate General.

    On October 20, 2011, the XI session of the Joint Working Group on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation was in the building of the Czech Republic Consulate General.

    This group was created under the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic, Scientific and Technical cooperation between Russia and the Czech Republic in September 2001.

    The Chairman of the Czech part of the group is Jaroslav Novak, Deputy Director of the Department of Road Communications, Railways, and Combined Transport and Head of the Combined Transport Department.

    The Chairman of the Russian side is A.V.Prokhorenko, Member of St.Petersburg Government and Chairman of the Committee for External Relations.

    The projects that were discussed at the meeting included a joint project of JSC “VAGONMASH” and “SKODA TRANSPORTATION», as well as a project of the Czech company TESLA KARLIN, concerning the construction of automated and semi-automated parking garages and parking areas. Presentations were made by the Municipal Agency of Industrial Investments and a branch of “special economic zones” in St.Petersburg.

    During the meeting, the group of companies SMU-303 and a Czech company «UNISTAV» signed a protocol on mutual cooperation, on the basis of which the parties agreed on the construction projects in St.Petersburg and the Czech Republic.
