    Delegation of Guadalajara Mayor’s Office Visited St.Petersburg

    On September 16 through 23, 2011, a delegation of the Municipality of Guadalajara (United Mexican States) visited St.Petersburg.

    On September 16 through 23, 2011, a delegation of the Municipality of Guadalajara (United Mexican States) visited St.Petersburg.

    The delegation was led by Mario Gutierrez Treviño, President of Commission for Finances of Guadalajara City, and included Irma Cano Gutierrez, Member of Guadalajara City Municipal Council on Legal Issues; Juan Sanchez Navarro, Honorary Consul of Russia in Guadalajara; and a group of entrepreneurs from Guadalajara.

    The purpose of the visit of Mexican delegation in St.Petersburg was the conclusion of a cooperation agreement with St.Petersburg Government, which was basically agreed by the parties 5 years ago. Memorandum of Intent to establish the partnership between the cities was signed in 2006 during the visit of a St.Petersburg delegation to Mexico.

    On September 19, at Smolny, a conversation of M.E.Oseevskiy, Vice-Governor of St.Petersburg, Head of the St.Petersburg Governor Administration, with the Guadalajara City delegation took place, which resulted in the solemn ceremony of signing the Agreement on Cooperation between the Government of St.Petersburg and the City of Guadalajara.

    During their stay in St.Petersburg, the Guadalajara delegation explored the investment opportunities and potential for the trade exchange with St.Petersburg. Meetings were held at the St.Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, with the guidance of Brewery “Baltika”, ZAO “Sparkling Wines”, OAO “Liviz”, Scientific-Production Enterprise CDSO, OAO “PetroTrolleybus”.
