The visit was a continuation of a dialogue of St.Petersburg experts and Waldemar Kindler, Head of the Department of Public Security at the Ministry of Inner Affairs of Bavaria, who accompanied Horst Seehofer, Prime Minister of Bavaria, during his visit to St.Petersburg in April 2011.

During the visit to Bavaria, the delegation of St.Petersburg was by Joachim Hermann, Minister of Inner Affairs of Bavaria, and met with the leadership of the Bavarian police and fire protection. The delegation studied in detail the organization and operation of the voluntary fire brigade in Germany.

Given the great experience of law enforcement bodies of Bavaria in ensuring the safety in sports and cultural events, the delegation was shown a comprehensive security system at the stadium “Allianz Arena” in Munich.

During the visit, a conversation took place with A.Yu. Grozov, Russian Consul General in Munich, to discuss the issues of further cooperation between St.Petersburg and Bavaria.
